Breastfeeding London Course - Assignment

In 2018 I undertook the 90-hour lactation specific education course (necessary in order for me to become an IBCLC). I had to do an assignment in which I chose to focus on humans being classified as mammals from the text book “Breastfeeding and Human Lactation” (Riordan & Wamback, 2015). I wrote the assignment with a vision that if we were to associate ourselves with our classification more often, it might improve the rates of breastfeeding and furthermore ‘save’ breastfeeding from becoming extinct for our species as there is evidence to show that it is being eradicated on a global scale with the increased use of artificial formula.
